End of year.
It has been a good year this year for the amazing year 3's.
One of my favorite things this year was having the year 6's in are class. We had a voice contest and Rebecca won. We also did some arts and crafts which was fun. The year 6's names wore ''Ava Amelia and Cristina.'' It was so much fun having the girls's in our class. ''Room 19'' ''I'm going to miss Room 19'' [and miss lologa] THE END OF THE YEAR

Soon it will be the End of the Year!!! It is very exciting. Everybody will be moving up a year. Everybody is tired and it is good to have a break. You have 7 weeks off school. 7 Weeks! I will miss going to school but enjoy having a break. There are lots of events happening. Christmas, New Year and lots more! But it is also the season of allergies. Even I have an allergy. I am covered in hives. Well that is the end of my time slot. I have to get off the computer. Make sure you keep tuned to the best blog in the world!!!

Tennis
On Wednesday Room 19 had a tennis session with Nick from Auckland Tennis.
Nick went through some warm up drills and then taught the class a few skills. One of the fun activities was when the students paired up and had to hit a ball over the arms (one arm of the student were linked together to form a net). The students got a chance to play doubles and practice hitting the ball to their partner.
We took pictures and made a video of the session. Click on the video to watch.

Scooter Safety
Today Steve from Scooter Safety came to teach the Year 3's how to be safe on scooters.
We put on helmets and elbow pads to protect us in case we fall over. Next Steve showed us how to safely come off a scooter after riding and how to slow down and use the brakes.
Watch our video of our scooter session with Steve.

Message in a Bottle
On Wednesday Matua Martin and the team from 'The Roots' brought in the bottles for our messages. We went into the school hall and two year 2 classes joined us. Next they introduced themselves and explained what we had to do to put the messages in the bottle. They split us in half and took photos of our messages. After we went down on to the mat we had to roll the pictures and put them in the bottle. We put lids on the bottles and we used plastic ties to join them to make a triangle shape. We had buddies to help put our messages inside the bottles.
Last we put our triangles on to the stage with the other bottles. The bottles will be taken down to the 'Gantry' ready to be assembled.
Room 19 had lots of fun making the bottle wave!

The Roots comes to talk with Meadowbank School!
You are all probably thinking 'Who are the Roots?' They are a company that helps save the enviromment. They are all from New Zealand.
What they are trying to do is that instead of recycling bottles, they are using them to make a bottle wave. Here is a picture of a bottle wave:

Over 4,500 students are participating in this event.
Matua Martin who is part of the The Roots came to talk to the school about their project. They are getting together with many schools around the Auckland to create a eco friendly community art work made of recyclable material with each child writing a message of hope for the upcoming season and festivities.
In each individual bottle will be a message of hope from a student. They will be assembled together and made in to wave that will e installed at Auckland waterfront’s ‘Gantry’ viewing platform.
What a wonderful project to be apart of. We are looking forward to putting our messages in a bottle.

Instructions
You will need to get into a circle.
One person goes in the middle and acts somthing out.
One person comes into the circle and says what are you doing?
But you don't say the thing that you are doing, you say something like "I am dancing".
And that person goes in the middle.
And that is how you play freakout.

The magical Big Ben
Big Ben
You will need: pens, cardboard, scissors, cellotape, a vivid, some colouring paper, glitter glue and not last but least staples.
1. Find some cardboard and bend it into a shape that looks like a rectangle.
2. Staple the cardboard together and it will look like a rectangle.
3. I got some paper and wrapped it arond the cardboard.
4. I cut out a circle so I can make the clock of Big Ben.
5.I drew the numbers to make it into a clock.
6. I drew some lines to make it a little bit fancy.
7. I coloured in the lines to make it look colourful because at night time Big Ben is colourful.

I am crazy about galloping black stallions dazling in the sun.
I am addicted to white pearly ponys rolling in the grass.
